I am a researcher and writer working at the intersection of health promotion, community-engaged scholarship and health equity. My work examines how culturally grounded and community-informed interventions can improve health outcomes in populations that are often underserved or overlooked. Drawing on socio-behavioral theories and implementation science, I study how evidence-based programs can be adapted, implemented and sustained in real-world settings. My research focuses on aging and fall prevention, substance use and recovery, pharmacist workforce wellbeing, and community engagement in health research. I primarily use qualitative and mixed methods to understand lived experience, inform intervention design, and translate research into practice.I am also a teacher with over five years of experience teaching across undergraduate, PharmD and graduate programs in Nutrition & Dietetics, Sociology and Pharmacy. I enjoy mentoring students interested in qualitative research, implementation science and health equity.Alongside my academic work, I write contemporary confessional poetry and reflective essays that explore identity, heritage and meaning-making.You can find my research, writing and contact information below:
